WOO~!
Today is the first day for our twinning trip in Kunming.
The aeroplane took about 3-4 hours from Singapore to arrive at Kunming.
On the plane,many of us felt uneasy.
But after having the chicken w/ noodles & vanilla ice cream, we felt better.

Arrived at Kunming at 3.06pm.
Got our luggage then the Anning Middle School Principal welcomed us with fresh roses.
They are the speciality in Kunming, took a group photo then procceeded to the bus to put our luggage in it. Next stop, WEST HILL! :D

The road up the entrance is all the way zig-zag lah, super dizzy !
But the scenery is very pretty which this word cannot describe everything.
Climb the steps all the way up to Dragon Gate, touched the round thing on the gate,
which is known as the Dragon Ball.
I took a photo of the "Dian chi".
By then, everyone were quite exhausted. HUNGRY TOO.
We were brought to a halal restaurant named "Aladdin".
The place is decorated in a very Aladdin way, the people there dressed that way too.
Had a wonderful dinner there, not cause of the delicious food but the people
sitting the same table with me, had lots & lots of fun ! :D

Checked in the hotel at 8.40pm.
I bathed first but who knows..
I don't know how to on the shower -_____-
The water keep flowing for the bathtub, damn!
What to do?
I wrapped the hotel towel then walked out of the toilet
and asked Carolyn to ask for help from the teachers.

Carolyn and me couldn't sleep at all, I think is because it is the first day there.
It's 11 plus but we still couldn't sleep.
We watched channel 16 [V] and channel 17 (MTV).
I got nothing better to do then i opened the little refrigerator and shake all the can drinks :x
HAHAHAH!
We ate stick cookies & prawn crackers.
At first, i wanted to put the prawn crackers in some bowl or something,
then we couldn't find any in the hotel room.
Carolyn then suggested to put them in the teacup O__o
And OH!
Nora forgotten to take her hotel room card and left her room and her partner too.
In the end, both of them were locked outside their hotel room. HAHA !
But i think anthony have helped them to settle the problem already.
We stayed up till bloody 3am then sleep.
Woke up the other day at bloody 5 am.

Woke up at 6am in the morning, gathered at 28th floor for buffet breakfast.
i ate only 2 plain buns cause early in the morning it is hard to eat a lot although the food served were very attacting and tempting , lols !
Sat the bus and headed to Anning Middle School.
On the way, I fell asleep due to last night's lack of sleep -____-
The temperature starts to get colder and the window starts to have mist?..
When we reached Anning Middle School,our mouth starts to have 'smoke' coming out as we breathe out our warm breath. It is beacause our breath is warm, the climate is cold, therefore that condenses and forms the 'smoke'.

Took a group photo outside/in front of the school and some of them were trembling! haha :D
We were warmly welcomed by the Anning Middle School Principal and Staffs.
The principal brought us around the school. We were then brought to the hall, as we stepped in,
their chinese ochestra performance started. Mr Wee then called out our names one by one to meet our buddy but everything seens to be all messed up. It is all in a mess in front of the stage. Mr Wee then read again some of the buddy's name and theirs.

After that, we went into a classroom located on the 3rd floor and started to learn Chinese Calligraphy. Had lots of fun and learn many new things too!
We learn paper cutting and tai-ji too :D
The tai-ji right, damn hard lah!
But i'm sure everyone had fun yah ! :D
Sat bus to return to our hotel, on the bus i fell asleep again! :)
Had dinner at some chinese restaurant.
Went shopping after that, WOO!
Me, Nora, Carolyn,Jasmine,Maisarah, Sunita and friends went to the supermarket and get stuffs for the bunk in at night! wooooo!

Cause we're (Carolyn & me) were very scared to sleep all alone in our hotel room number 1817.
All because of many weird happenings the day before/yesterday.

We learn chinese painting and with colours too.
After that were then seperated into groups of 4.
We get to observe their lesson, different group went to different classrooms w different subjects.
Me, Carolyn, Wasilan and Hazirah went into the biology class.
They were having a class on diseases or viruses like, AIDS/HIV, SARS and bird flu.
Everyone had lunch but I'm not hungry therefore I didn't eat anything.

After lunch, it is the Basketball Activity.
Yesterday, teachers only asked which boys can play basketball then i thought only our boys would be competing with Anning Middle School boys. Suddenly, they started to ask girls to go and play against Anning Middle School, I think I volunteered to play/join in the game.
Jess, Brenna Maisarah, Dalilah and me played the first part. Run the full court for a few times then tired, I think it is because we were not used to the atmosphere or temperature/air or something. My chest/lungs felt pain and hard to breathe then Minhui took my place after that I returned to the game again. Maisarah scored the first 2 shots. I think afterall, we did a good job, thought we didn't win the game but our girls are not trained for basketball and it's my first time playing full court match. I helped scored 1 or 2 points :D

Other girls played too, I cannot really remember but one of them is Namirah sister :D
After the game, felt kind of sick & uncomfortable.
had headache and menstrational cramp, damn.

After the Basketball Activity is the Martial Art- CHANG QUAN.
All the others participate in the activity except for me and some of the boys.

After the Chang Quan , we went to the Hot Spring spa.
STUPID LAH.
Last night i just had my period but i'm not disappointed at all, i don't know why too.
But i felt that somehow there's a reason for it.
When we reached there, the people who can't/don't want to go the Hot Spring is left outside awhile cause the teachers have to settle the people who are going first.

We sat outside awhile then Irsyam ran out of the Hot Spring place and told us that he saw many people naked inside the locker room... and he said that he felt uncomfortable therefore he came out of the place. hahahaha! he's damn funny & cute lah ! :D
There won't be laughter without either him or Nora! yeah? hahaha.
The Anning staff then brought us to a relaxing place to enjoy the JASMINE TEA.
IT'S SUPER NICE YAH :D
Realised that many people looked different after coming out of the Hot Spring Spa thing.
As in, from putting on a smile on their faces into like very bored faces.
Nora said that she saw many people/female naked and some doing massage -_____-
Maybe this is the reason i had my period.
But I felt very fortunate, of course I'm not the only one yah.
Not the only one for period and not getting into the Hot Spring Spa.
We started giving each other names after that.

Irsyam > bitch/panda king
Jasmine > panda queen
Nora > mermaid
Juexin > sunshine
Carolyn > ballerina
Maisarah > tinkerbell/ layla(winx)

haha, had fun afterall then have dinner at a chinese restaurant.
Muslims and non-muslims were seperated for some meals.
Ate full, not feeling well after i reached the hotel room.
Bathed then went to the 7th/8th floor to do the blogging on our twinning blog.

Waited quite long & it's our turn, just briefly posted what happened on the first day.
Went back to hotel room, felt headache and the stomach area all cramp & felt like vomiting.
In the end, I vomited the dinner I had at the Chinese Restaurant ! -_____-
Then Carolyn felt tired & went to sleep.
i don't feel well but i do not know what to do ):
Wish someone is there to takecare of me yah ):
Called room to room, called to 1803, to see if Nora is asleep, then she's not.
I went over to her room, her roommate gave me a pill to stop dizzy & vomiting.

In the end, slept at 12am going 1am.

Today woke up early then have breakfast without teachers and some schoolmates.
Felt tired, ate finish my toast with sugar and egg and hot milk.
Went back to hotel room to sleep for like 20 minutes.

Gathered at 7.15-7.30am at hotel lobby.
Started our journey to Yunnan Nationalities Village.
Got dragged up the stage to do some of the tribal dance.
Thanks to the tour guide who "sabo" me. damn. haha.
But the worse part is not being pulled up to the stage.
Joined in the dance and there's one part where they pulled in and out.
They pulled me to the front then i nearly fly away, can see how strong they are.. lol.
But luckily i held on tight to their hands and i'm not ALONE ! :D
Brenna join in the dance too, hahahah.
I think Mr Kahar took a video or something of it, damn!
My left and right were the dancers, their strength is like super strong! O__o
Their strength us really, BWG lah!
I felt like a idiolt at that time, lols.
After the performance by the tribe we went to walk all different places and know more about other knowledge on other tribes like Mongolia and etc.
Stopped at a tent of a mongolia, beside it, there were some stalls for games.
Must thank Alan for helping me to play the game of tin and ball game and won the RED umbrella for me yah ! THANKS :D
Many people bought their stuffs too, the things there didn't really catch my attention except for the RED umbrella ! :D

Then we went to visit the tea leaves company.
Got to try out some of the tea leaves and know more about them.
I tried the first cup "Sleeping Beauty" then i went to the toilet -____-
I didn't try out the "Aged Puerh Tea" and "Monkey Plucking Tea"
Offered them to Caroyn -.-

Bought tea leaves, and got free stuffs too.
Then were brought to the bookshop, bought cds and stationery.
Went to shopping mall and went to the "PUCCA" shop !
haha, the things there damn cute lah, bodoh! :D
Bought some handphone accessories, for my family members.
Cause i know my elder sister super love this cartoon character, haha.

After that people dine-in at KFC, only me and Carolyn take away & ate in the hotel room.
Many people came into our room for blogging their twinning blog ;D
12 people in one small room, seems like a party!
2 teachers and 10 students.
Just now felt unwell again and threw up what i ate for dinner.
Teacher suggested me to eat porridge for tomorrow's breakfast.

These stones have words on it, "JX. Jiu Xiang, 1989.xx"
The last 2 words i can't read from this photo and i forgotten already.
These stones are naturally found from different part of the world.

We visited the Jiuxiang Scenic Region.
We first sat the boat to take a look around the river or something?
Adraina and me helped paddle or row the boat with the oars, as if like dragon boating :x
When it is supposed to be slow, our boat is going quite fast. hahah!
After that, we start walking into the mountain.
The road inside were wet and slippery, must be really careful
and the temperature turned quite cold for me.
Cause i vomited 2 days before that day and my body was kind of weak.
My legs starts to tremble ):
People walked all the way up the stairs, i took the so called sedan.
2 men lift the sedan and walked me up 100 over steps.
I paid them 50 RMB after the ride, it was quite scary but fun.
A special experience bah?

After that, we took the cable car, as i was feeling unwell.
The others were queueing up for it, i sat down on the chairs there.
The tour guide told the worker that i was feeling unwell and can't stand properly.
Luckily, there were kind people who allowed me to cut their queue and went off first.
Sat in the bus and waited for the others.

Next, they went to "石林" which is the Stone Forest.
I didn't went in though, but inside there were lots of weird looking stones.
They have a lot of different stones looking like different things.
The tour guide said that we must have imagination to see what the stones resembles, haha.
Teacher forbid me to go and join in the others to visit the Stone Forest cause i was unable to walk that much and there's no way out or no way back once we walked in.
And so, i went shopping with Mrs Tan, haha!
She bought tribal clothes for her children and helped Miss Lee to buy some stuff too.
I bought 3 bangles, haha, i like them very much yah :D
Anyway, FYI, i had porridge for the 3 meals this day! eeeew.

Went back hotel and rested and slept.

Had breakfast then went to Anning Middle School for home visitation experience.
Everyone was grouped in 2s.
I grouped up with Anthony Tan, OYG. damn. haha.
We met the parents, then was brought to their home then their mum starts to offer apples
to us, i just like vomitted 2 nights already, then not feeling well.
Anthony told that auntie then she didn't asked me to eat it.
After that, uncle and aunty brought us out.
They brought us to a garden, its very pretty there.
After that, we went to the "Hundred flower park" and walked around inside.
And inside, there's a small amusement park.
We played the bumper cars :D hahaha !
Crossed the road and went to the shopping center opposite.
We tooked neoprints then went to arcade to play basketball :D
Had lunch, went to a temple, then a mountain called "凤山".
climbed a very high tower? lols.
Then went to a hot spring thingy, known as the "天下第一汤"
Went back to their home and they gave us dried pu er tea leaves on box each.
Thanks yah. We appreciate it <3

We went to Anning middle school and learnt Tai-minority tribe dance.
After that, we had lunch then we were divided into groups of 4.
I grouped with Natalie, Alicia and Nelson :D
We went into grade 9 class 10 i think?
We sang a song to them as they suggested.
They danced for us too :D
After that, proceeded back to the hall again to learn the Yi-minority tribe dance.
Then had Farewell ceremony.

Went back to hotel and rested and slept.

18th November 2008




Woo, the lsst day there, we went to the milk factory first, to try out the "雪兰" yogurt milk.
Hmm, taste nice yah, people :D
Then we headed to coffee market, i didn't try out the coffee cause i scared i might upset my stomach? hahaha.
Walked around the coffee factory & flower market with my pet panda, namirah! :D
ORHHHHHHHHH-HOR. you know what i'm talking about yah. hahahah.
Hope my hands are warm enough to warm that cold hands of yours, haha.
Must keep the box of the rose biscuits i bought for you (:

then we headed to the airport, which was like only 10 mins from the flower market.
i thought was like 1 hour plus, heard from min hui then i know is 10 mins.
Reached there, took our luggage out from the bus then took the trolley.
The Anning Middle School Principal or staffs gave out the photo frames w our photo to
each and everyone, everyone have their very own photos in the photo frame, its nice luh!

Took tickets then went for the check of the body and the luggage. haha.
then went to the waiting place, some people went to the duty free shop.
I went in too, nothing nice to buy though.
Nora bought 2 lovely panda too :D
Got into the plane at 4.05pm.
Actually i was located at the flight seat number 14A then I changed seat with Mr Wee.
Cause he wants to sit with Mdm Lina, her sit was 14C.
I sat at 20F, window sit, WEEEEEEEEEE!
Then i asked Namirah to sit with me, she sat at 20E and Mrs Tan at 20D.
I started all the nonsense, then Namirah gone crazy with me after her nap? LOL.
SHE LOVES SINGAPOE, YAH :D
